I'm Li, an ordinary middle-aged single man residing at the urban-rural junction in the south of China.
For years, I've been documenting the real, unpolished daily life of China's suburban and countryside areas via my YouTube channel Li in China.
Instead of staged clips or stereotyped content, all my videos are raw on-location footage about my daily routines, local rural food, neighborhood interactions, changing countryside landscapes, and genuine grassroots happenings nearby.
This independent blog serves as a supplementary platform for my YouTube works:
- Detailed Articles: Expanding on the stories shown in my YouTube videos;
- Exclusive Diaries: Sharing behind-the-scenes, personal thoughts, and extra anecdotes cut out from original footage;
- Preview Notices: Upcoming YouTube episodes and update schedules of my channel.
My core goal is to present a true civilian perspective of contemporary rural southern China to global viewers without over-dramatization.
